The first (and maybe the most important) job of a marketing system is to secure attention.

If you don’t figure out how to get more attention for your business, your business will die. Here’s an example of this principle: you, right now. 

You’re here reading this letter that I wrote for you. If I hadn’t first secured your attention, you would have no way of being here. Even I must secure attention before I add any value. 

The second job of marketing is to keep and reward that attention. If you get the attention & waste peoples’ time, you won’t ever get their attention again. This is what’s wrong with the old school “internet marketing” companies right now. They got people to pay attention (via direct response advertising) but they couldn’t get them to keep paying attention. 

The second job is harder than the first.

The reason our customer acquisition systems are so effective is because we are effectively accomplishing both jobs:

We have several thousand people buying things and 20-30% of them are repeat purchasers – here’s what that means: they are buying products from us but it’s not their first time buying from us.

Right after World War II the average human experienced hundreds of ads and “programs” per day — today, however, that number is several thousand per day. This translates to an exhausted market. People are tired and bombarded constantly. The noise has become unbearable. 

I was watching an interview from an extremely successful marketer (probably one of the best in the world right now and before he dies he’ll be one of the best in the history of the world) say this: “Everything is getting harder and harder to make a profit from.”

This is true for most people. Their “yields” are going down. They post on social media but they are just plateaued & stagnant. You cannot hustle your way to more customers & clients.

When brains meet muscle, the brain always wins. 

Why, then, have our trends (and yields) been up and to the right for two years? Our units-per-month (UPM) are increasing on a quarterly basis. Our cost-per-acquisition (CPA) is holding steady and even decreasing. Our average-order-value (AOV) is going UP, not down; that means people are spending more money each month with us and, apparently, very happy to do it! 

There is a science to it. 

But my friends, it requires building infrastructure. This is why people have been unsuccessful in “copying” us – the only business owners who have gotten this dialed in correctly are clients because they have access to the true formulas “behind the scenes.”
